Fergie’s world was sadly turned upside down when his beloved owner passed away.
After spending years surrounded by love and having a home to call his own, Fergie now finds himself waiting for someone new to give him that same love, comfort and security once again.
Fergie may be an older boy, but do not let his age fool you! He is still active, enjoys his walks and has no known health conditions.
What Fergie needs most now is a calm, loving home where he can feel safe and settled again. Ideally, his new family will have someone around for most of the day while he adjusts to his new surroundings.
Fergie has previously lived with another dog and would ideally like to have a canine companion in his new home. He is used to having another dog around and can struggle at times when left alone. We feel having another friendly dog for company could really help him settle and feel more secure.
Fergie’s home requirements:
- Older children only, as we have limited history
- Would suit a single person or couple
- Still enjoys his walks but does not need extremely long walks
- Social with other dogs when out on walks
- Ideally, a home where someone is around for most of the day
- He must not be left alone for long periods
- No cats or small furries
- Any resident dog must already be neutered
Our Adoption Process:
Fergie’s adoption fee is £250, which includes: full veterinary health check, vaccinations, microchipping, neutering, flea and worm treatment, lifetime rescue back-up and support.
If you are interested in offering Fergie a home, please contact us directly. We will first send you our pre-adoption questionnaire so we can gather the information needed to assess suitability.
If everything is suitable, we will arrange a virtual home check and request photos/videos of your downstairs living area and garden. We also require two forms of ID.
Once the checks are completed and you are approved, we can arrange an appointment for you to meet Fergie.
Please remember that we cannot hold dogs for extended periods, so potential adopters must be in a position to adopt within a reasonable timeframe.
