Age: Two years old
Rex is a medium sized Lurcher, who had been sitting in a pound waiting for a Rescue space since March, until we were finally able to help him.
Rex is a lovely boy with those he has bonded with, but can be overwhelmed by strangers trying to interact with him. His new family will need to let him come around to new people in his own time and not rush meetings, or force him to say hello, when he is uncomfortable.
Rex has travelled well in our van and will happily hop in and out of the crate we use. He has been clean in his kennel.
Out on walks, Rex walks well on his lead and he is not reactive, but if someone pops up and spooks him he will occasionally have a bit of a bark, so this will need some work so it does not get worse.
We have introduced Rex to lots of different dogs and he has been good with them all, so with successful introductions, Rex could definitely live with another dog.
No children or visiting children.
No cats or small furries.
Rex really is motivated by treats and he loves to play which will help with his training in his new home.
Rex will need a home with a secure garden (not communal)
