Meet the absolutely gorgeous Betsy & Tilly, two beautiful neutered females, that have arrived into our care due to a change in their owner’s circumstances.
These two little ladies are a bonded pair and have always lived together, so we are looking for a very special home where they can continue their lives side by side.
ABOUT BETSY & TILLY:
Both girls are incredibly friendly, sweet and loving. They adore being around people and are happiest when they can curl up beside you on the sofa or, even better, claim your knee!
Despite being older girls, they still enjoy their walks and walk nicely on the lead. They are dog social and can potentially live with other dogs of a similar size, subject to successful introductions. They may have a little bark back if another dog starts barking at them!
They are not looking for a home where they will be expected to walk for hours and hours every day. A few nice walks each day, combined with plenty of love, attention and sofa time, would suit them perfectly.
CHILDREN:
They have been around visiting children and have been fine, but we feel they would be happiest in a home where children visit rather than live with them full time.
BEING LEFT:
Once they have settled into their new home, they can be left for sensible periods of time. However, we would prefer someone who can be around for them while they settle in and get used to their new surroundings.
CATS:
They are okay around cats but may bark at them, so any resident cats would need to be confident, dog-savvy cats who are already used to dogs.
TRAVELLING:
Both girls travel well in the car.
We feel Betsy & Tilly would make wonderful companion dogs and could be a fantastic match for a single person or couple looking for two loving, mature Dachshunds to share their home with.
ADOPTION INFORMATION:
Our adoption fee is £250 per dog. This includes: neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, flea & worm treatment, full veterinary health check, lifetime rescue back-up.
Before arranging a visit, we will need to receive and assess our pre-adoption questionnaire and complete our usual checks, including a virtual home check.
PLEASE NOTE: We cannot hold dogs for extended periods. Anyone applying must be in a position to adopt within a reasonable timeframe, and we aim to get our dogs settled into their new homes as soon as possible.
Betsy & Tilly have spent their lives together – now they just need someone who will love them both for the rest of theirs.
