Diesel arrived into our care after he found himself in the pound. Sadly, he was very underweight when he arrived at the pound and had very bad skin and ears. His weight is improving with regular meals, and his skin is doing really well after a basic flea treatment. He is currently on ear medication as he also had very sore ears, but they are also on the mend, and he has been a star pupil when giving him his medication.
He is an amazing boy who has not put a paw wrong since arriving at the Rescue. Everyone loves him as he has a very lovable character. Diesel is only a young boy, so he can be excitable, but at the same time, he is also quite a calm dog who likes to follow you around and spend time with you.
When meeting new people, Diesel is excitable, but not over the top, and just wants to say hello. He loves his walks and likes to go on all different adventures, so an active home is a must. Diesel likes to meet other dogs on walks and likes to play and has not been reactive to anything or anyone. He is learning to walk well in a Halti, as without this, he can be a bit of a puller.
Diesel likes to chase his toys and pick them up, but he is not overly interested in them at this point.
He travels well in a car.
Older children only as he is a bigger dog who would accidentally knock small children off their feet.
Dog introductions can be done, but the other dog would need to be of a playful nature and already neutered.
Diesel has been very well behaved on his cat tests. He is just inquisitive and wants to say hello, but we feel confident dog savvy cats would be better.
Diesel would like a home with someone who will be around most of the time until he has settled in and will need a home with his own secure garden (not communal).
