Freddy is a friendly, adorable, sweet and playful boy who is a real pleasure to be around. He is a typical Cocker who loves life and certainly knows how to enjoy himself!

Freddy absolutely loves his walks and outdoor adventures. As long as he gets the exercise he needs, he is a very well-behaved boy in the home. He is not a dog who will be happy with just a quick walk around the block. Freddy is used to getting out for good, off-lead walks where he can stretch his legs, explore, release his energy and, most importantly, put that wonderful Cocker nose to work!

Freddy is looking for an active owner or family who can give him the walks and outdoor time he loves and needs. Woodland, fields and plenty of opportunities to explore would be right up Freddy’s street.

Freddy can pull on the lead and is a strong boy when he does, so his new family will need to be physically capable of handling him and, equally importantly, be prepared to put some training into improving his loose-lead walking. With the right guidance and consistency, we are sure this clever boy can make great progress.

Freddy is great with other dogs when he is out and about and we have no concerns about him being around other dogs outside of the home. However, for his new home, we are looking for Freddy to be the only dog so he can have all the love, attention and fuss to himself.

Freddy has previously lived with cats, so he could potentially live with dog-savvy cats again, subject to the usual careful introductions.

Older, sensible children will be considered.

FREDDY’S IDEAL HOME:

  • Active owner or family
  • Someone who enjoys good walks and outdoor adventures
  • Access to suitable areas for longer off-lead walks once settled and recall is established
  • Someone confident enough to handle a strong dog on lead
  • Willingness to continue his loose-lead training
  • Can be left for sensible periods once fully settled
  • Older, sensible children considered
  • Freddy to be the only dog in the home
  • Cats may be considered due to his previous experience

ADOPTION FEE – £250.  Freddy’s adoption fee includes his neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, flea and worm treatment and a full veterinary health check, as well as lifetime rescue back-up. All dogs and other pets in the adopting household must already be neutered.

HOW TO APPLY:

If you think Freddy could be the boy for you, please message us directly for our pre-adoption questionnaire. We need to receive all suitability information before we can arrange an appointment. We carry out virtual home checks, and you will need to provide photos/videos of your downstairs living area and garden, showing that the garden is fully secure, along with two forms of ID. Once we have received and reviewed all the required information, we can arrange an appointment for you to come along and meet Freddy.

Please remember that applications can be declined if we feel the home is not suitable for Freddy — our priority is always finding the right match for the dog.
