Champ has arrived into our care from a pound that we work with.

He is a sweet, laid-back and gentle little boy who likes to take life at his own pace. Champ enjoys the company of people and we feel he would make a wonderful companion for a single person or couple.

Walks & Exercise:

Champ enjoys going out for walks, but he is not a dog who needs or wants long, exhausting adventures. He would be perfectly happy with 2–3 general walks a day, giving him the chance to have a good sniff, stretch his legs and enjoy some fresh air before heading home for what he really loves, which is a nice snooze on the sofa with you!

Other Dogs:

Champ is dog social and is currently sharing his kennel with another dog. However, as with any dog, it can take time for two dogs to bond and become comfortable living together.  Champ could potentially live with another dog of a similar size, subject to successful introductions.

Please note: Any other dogs already living in the household must already be neutered.

Cats:

Champ has done well during his cat tests here at the Rescue. We would, however, recommend a confident cat who is already used to living with dogs.

Children:

Due to Champ’s age and gentle nature, we feel older children aged ten year upwards would be the best fit for him.

His Ideal Home:

Champ would like a home where someone is around for most of the day, particularly while he settles into his new surroundings. He is looking for someone who will give him the time, patience and reassurance he needs to feel safe and comfortable.

Travel:

Champ travels well in the car when crated.

Champ really is a lovely little boy who deserves a loving home of his own. At twelve years old, he is not looking for a hectic lifestyle or endless adventures, just someone who will love him, enjoy his company and let him potter along at his own pace.

HOW TO APPLY TO ADOPT CHAMP:

Champ’s adoption fee is £250, which includes: neutering, vaccinations, microchipping, flea & worm treatment, full veterinary check, lifetime rescue back-up

Before arranging a visit, we will need you to complete our pre-adoption questionnaire so we can make sure Champ is a suitable match for your home and lifestyle. If your application progresses, we will then arrange a virtual home check, where we ask for photographs/videos of your downstairs living areas and garden so we can ensure the property is safe and secure.

We will also require two forms of ID.

Any other pets in the household must already be neutered, and all introductions between existing pets and Champ will need to be successful before an adoption can proceed.

Once everything has been approved, we can arrange an appointment for you to meet Champ at the Rescue.

We always aim to find our dogs their new homes as soon as possible, so potential adopters need to be in a position to adopt within a reasonable timeframe. We cannot hold dogs for extended periods.
