Axel arrived into our care after recently spending a heart-breaking ten months in boarding kennels through absolutely no fault of his own.
Originally adopted from Greece as a puppy, Axel has lived his whole life here in the UK. When he first arrived at the kennels, he was in very poor condition and extremely underweight. Thanks to the amazing dedication of the boarding team, Axel regained his health and he is now finally ready to begin the next chapter of his life.
Since arriving at the Rescue, Axel has been an absolute superstar and has not put a paw wrong.
Axel is loyal, loving, playful, well behaved and calm and relaxed in the home.
Axel knows his basic commands and always wants to please his people. He can be a little shy when meeting new people at first, but once he feels safe, his sweet and affectionate personality shines through.

- Travels well in the car
- Settled and well behaved in the home
- Walks beautifully on the lead
- Can be left for sensible periods once settled
Axel can happily live with other dogs following successful introductions, and dog meets can be arranged. He has also tested well with the resident cats at the Rescue. However, we feel he would be best suited to cats that are already used to living with dogs.
Due to his gentle and slightly shy nature, we are looking for a home with older children only.
Please note: all other pets in the household must already be neutered.
