Arthur is a cheeky Dachshund (weighing in at 8.25-kg) and has arrived into our care, to find a new home, through no fault of his own.
Arthur did arrive with his friend, Archie, but due to unforeseen circumstances, it has become clear that they both need to find separate homes.
He loves everyone he meets and being part of a family, so he will need a home where initially, he will not be left for long periods. Ideally, someone around most of the day, especially at first, to settle him in until he finds his paws.
Out on walks, Arthur gets very excited to be out and can be vocal at times, but he does settle down after the initial excitement wears off. He can be strong on the lead, so he needs some loose lead training, but he has become better since getting out more whilst in our care. He can be vocal when he sees other dogs, so he is looking for a family that can put some time into training him (he absolutely loves his treats, and food, which will help a lot with the training).
Arthur is looking for a home on his own, with no other pets, including small animals.
He can live with older dog savvy children.
Arthur has had a health check at the vets, which he passed with flying colours. He is neutered, vaccinated, de-flead, wormed, and microchipped.
