Sadly, Marlow is still looking for the right home.
Marlow needs a family that understands he needs a hands off approach until he knows them, but once he has a bond, and is comfortable with you, he is a very loving boy who has no issues being handled.
Marlow arrived into our care through one of the pounds we work with after being found as a stray but never claimed by an owner.
Sadly, Marlow was a very scared and confused little dog in the pound. He could not understand why he was there, where he was or who all these new people were and was really struggling in the busy, noisy environment, but since arriving with us (a smaller quieter Rescue), Marlow has been such a good little dog and has taken everything in his stride. However, he can still be nervous about meeting new people and can bark but soon comes around (especially if you have treats and let him come to you at his own pace, the more you try and make friends the more scared he gets so you need to be patient with him).
Marlow is very sweet, playful, and loving, and although he adores nothing more than to curl up on your knee, he needs to really know you before you will see this side of him.
Once he bonds with you, he bonds strong and he really loves his people.
He is looking for an active home as he likes his walks and adventures. He walks quite well on the lead but can jump up out of excitement when he is first going out. Marlow can bark at people and things that he thinks are scary on walks but we are currently working on building his confidence.
Marlow is looking for an adult only home (no young children, including visiting).
Marlow travels well in the car.
Marlow needs a secure garden of his own (not communal).
Dog interactions can be done as he has been very dog social here at the Rescue and on walks.
Marlow needs a cat free home and a home with no small animals.
Please note that any existing pets in the household must already be neutered.
