Ghost has a heart full of love and an incredible story of resilience.
After being found as an emaciated stray, the world felt like a frightening place for Ghost. He then spent nine months in a busy rescue environment, which became overwhelming for him. When he finally got his fresh start with us, he was nervous and unsure, but it did not take long for his true personality to shine through.
Within minutes of arriving, Ghost formed a deep bond with one of our team members and from that moment on, everything changed. Once he trusts you, his loyalty is truly something special. He is affectionate, devoted, eager to please, and thrives on close connection with his person.
While he can be slightly wary of certain new people at first, he settles well and is not overly fussed as long as his people are there with him.
Ghost is a bright, active, and athletic young dog. He loves long walks (in any weather!) and really enjoys training and learning new things. He walks beautifully on the lead, knows his basic commands, and is eager to keep learning. While he has plenty of energy, he also loves to curl up and relax with his favourite person.
He can be social and playful with other dogs, but can sometimes feel unsure if approached too quickly. Because of this, we feel he would be happiest as the only dog in the home, where he can enjoy all the love and attention for himself.
He’s even been a superstar during grooming, calm, well-behaved, and clearly enjoying the experience!
Ghost is looking for:
- An adult-only home (16 years and upwards)
- A secure, private garden
- Someone home most of the day initially
- A patient, understanding owner committed to ongoing training
- A home with no cats or small animals
Ghost is medium-sized and actually quite petite for his breed—smaller than he appears in photos.
Please note: Any existing dogs in the household must already be neutered.
