LONG-TERM PALLIATIVE CARE/FOSTER APPEAL FOR CINDY.
This beautiful girl arrived into Rescue as a stray, and heartbreakingly, nobody ever came looking for her.
Cindy is one of those dogs who does not ask for much, just a warm bed, gentle strokes, and someone to love. She has the sweetest, cheekiest little personality and absolutely adores people.
Belly rubs? They are her favourite thing in the world. She would happily sit beside you all day, just soaking up the fuss and being your little shadow.
She enjoys her walks and walks nicely on the lead most of the time. She can be a bit vocal when she sees some dogs and prefers her own space, so she is looking for a home where she can be the only pet and have all the love to herself.
Cindy recently had a lump removed from her leg. We had hoped for good news, but sadly, the results of the lump confirmed it was a malignant Mast Cell Tumour. This type of tumour is aggressive, and heartbreakingly, her long-term prognosis is not good.
So now, instead of searching for a forever home, we are searching for something even more special.
We are looking for a long-term foster / palliative care home where Cindy can live out her days surrounded by comfort, stability, and love. Somewhere she can finally exhale. Somewhere she can just be someone’s girl.
The Rescue will cover all veterinary costs and her foster family will never need to worry about medical bills. All we ask is that someone opens their heart to her.
She can live with older children, but needs to be the only pet in the home. No cats or small animals.
Her foster family will need to be able to get her to our vets if any appointments are needed in the future.
