Meet Maxine & Tate

Age: Maxine (eighteen months old) / Tate (two years old)

We currently have two very nervous cats in our care who need a special kind of home . They must stay together and would do best with a family who understands that:
- They will not be lap cats; they may never want to be stroked; they need a slow, patient approach; they need security and stability
We are looking for one of two types of homes:
- A very understanding indoor home
- A family who will give them time, space, and consistency.
OR
- A farm/barn or outbuilding setup
- A secure, warm place where they can live safely, with people checking in and providing care.
(They will need to be kept secure for at least 6–8 weeks initially while they settle.)
Meet the Cats:
Maxine (Female – All Black)
Young, neutered; Likely lived outdoors previously; Settled well since coming into our care; Still too nervous to be handled or stroked; Will move around calmly if given space and ignored.
Tate (Male – Black & White)
Young, neutered; Came from a home and was wearing a collar; Likely had very little human interaction; Very fearful and currently too scared to be stroked.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- They must stay together
- Any existing pets in the household must already be neutered
