Special Appeals

BRUCE

Bruce is a sixteen month old German Shepherd/Labrador cross who arrived at the Rescue because his owner could no longer look after him.

Bruce is a lovable and excitable dope, who has not had any training or boundaries set in his young life.  He can therefore get a little carried away with his love and excitement for life.  Bruce loves his walks, but can be extremely strong on his lead and we are currently training him and trying him on a ‘canni collar’ to help with this. Bruce is dog friendly and loves everyone that he meets and just wants to say hello.

Bruce is looking for a committed family, who can give him boundaries, plenty of exercise and training. He is a clever boy, who enjoys his treats, so will pick things up easily and just needs a bit of guidance.  He will need a home with a reasonable sized secure garden, so he can burn off some energy playing with his toys. Bruce can live with teenage children only, and could live with another similar sized dog with successful introductions.
