Max has been a much loved family member, in the same home, since he was a young pup. Sadly, his owner recently passed away so Max has arrived into our care and is looking for a new home.
Max is a handsome, crossbreed (he weighs around 32kg) who will be turning 10 years old this February. He is still an active boy who loves to play ball and go for walks.
We have walked Max on a slip lead, which he walks well on, as he does pull on a harness. If you are a slower walker, he may pull a bit more as he has a quicker pace and wants to get all his sniffs in. He will, however, sometimes pull and can be vocal if he sees another dog, which is something his new family will need to work on with him.
Max has shared his home with a cat so could live with another feline friend in his new home.
We initially said no dogs for Max, but after further assessments, Max has been mixing really well with two females of a similar age, so Max could share his home with a friendly female with successful introductions.
In his previous home, Max has been okay around older, respectful children, with his size and bouncy nature we would not place him with young children.
Max is clean in his kennel, has had no issues being handled and is a lovely lad.
We would consider a home without a secure garden for Max, providing they could meet his needs.
