Meet Patrick

Adoptable dog at Pennine Pen Animal Rescue in Manchester, UK

Status: adopted

Breed: Patterdale Terrier

Age: Four years old

Patrick was found as a stray and never claimed by an owner so he has arrived at the Rescue for a fresh start.

Patrick is your typical terrier, full of energy and highly strung and is looking for a home with someone who either has terrier experience or has researched the breed and knows what to expect.

Patrick has a high prey drive, so cannot be homed with small furries or cats. As a result of Patrick’s natural hunting instincts, he will need to be walked on lead unless in a secure area. As with all dogs, Patrick would benefit from boundaries and training in his new home.

Even though Patrick is full of beans, he does also have a loving side and can often be found on his back waiting for a belly rub. Patrick will be a lovely addition to the right family once he is getting everything he needs. He definitely is not a dog that will be happy with a little walk around the block, or park, and he will need plenty of stimulation and activities so he does not become bored.

Patrick has walked with other dogs and does not really pay them much attention, so he can mix with the right dogs, but he would prefer a home as the only pet.

If you think you can offer Patrick the forever home he needs please get in touch .
*We only re-home in Oldham and surrounding areas upto an hour away
*Patrick will need his own secure garden
