Lucy arrived at the Rescue after her beloved mum sadly passed away and is now looking for a home. Lucy is a sweet girl who loves to play and loves to hang around with her people.
Sadly, when Lucy was younger, she broke her front leg and despite undergoing two operations, her leg no longer has full motion which causes her to limp. We have had Lucy’s leg x-rayed and the x-rays have been examined by a specialist who has suggested that Lucy may benefit from hydrotherapy, or physio exercises, as these could possibly increase the mobility in her leg.
Lucy is never going to be able to manage long walks. She will need short walks and lots of other activities and enrichment to keep her happy and stimulated.
Insurance will not cover any future costs associated with Lucy’s leg, so her new family will need to be prepared to cover any costs which might arise . As a result of how the leg has healed, it is highly likely that Lucy will be affected by arthritis which will need to be managed with pain relief medication prescribed by a vet if it causes her pain or discomfort.
Lucy could live with a confident cat but would like to be the only dog in the home.
Any children in the home would need to be ten years upwards
Lucy would love a garden of her own where she can play out with her toys.
