Meet Laurel

Adoptable dog at Pennine Pen Animal Rescue in Manchester, UK

Status: adopted

Breed: Shar Pei x Staffy

Age: One year old

Laurel arrived at the Rescue from a pound in London. Upon arrival, she was squinting and had watery eyes and the vet confirmed that she was suffering with a common condition (particularly in Shar Pei’s) called ‘entropion’. This condition requires surgery, which we have now had undertaken and there should be no further problems in the future.

Laurel is still a baby and has a lot of energy, so she will need an active home. We do not think she has been taken out much before arriving at the Rescue, so she will need work on how to walk on a lead, as she is a bit all over the place at the moment. Laurel travels well in a car and could live with another dog with successful introductions. Laurel loves people and will be a great family addition, due to her being bouncy and a bit of a dope, we could not place her with young children.
