Breed: Shar Pei
Age: Five years old
Luna arrived at the Rescue from a pound in London. When Luna arrived, she was squinting and had watery eyes and it was confirmed that she was suffering with a common condition (particularly in Shar Pei’s) called ‘entropion’. An appointment has since been made for a procedure to be undertaken at our vets and there should be no further problems following completion of the operation. Luna also arrived with bad and balding skin, another common condition in Shar Pei’s, so she has had to have a medicated bath every week and is taking a course of Apaquel to help treat this. It should clear, but it may be something that will require treatment, if it flares up again, in the future.
Luna is a very sweet and happy girl. She loves her walks and to sniff things and is non reactive to other dogs. She can pull when she wants to, but she usually calms down, once she gets into the flow of things.
Luna has done well on her cat tests, so could live with a cat and another dog with successful introductions. She is looking for an active home, where she will not be left for too long without a break/walk in between and could live with older sensible children.
