Earl is a very sweet, loving, needy, and playful little dog if he knows you, but he can be very nervous about meeting new people. He gets scared and will hide away behind the people he trusts and may bark, but with careful introductions and some nice tasty treats, he slowly starts to feel safe around them and will start to relax.
He is looking for a family who understands he can be nervous about meeting new people and in certain situations and a family who understand things need to be done at his pace and not rushed until he feels comfortable then he does not feel pressured, as he needs lots of positive experiences when meeting new people to build up his confidence.
Earl bonds strong once he trusts you and has no handling issues.
He loves his walks once he feels safe with his people and is very confident on them and loves to explore, so he is looking for an active home with a family who can take him on lots of different adventures.
We have found that Earl loves the company of other dogs of a similar size and likes to play. They also help with his confidence, so we are ideally looking for a home where there is already a confident, playful resident dog or two.
He has done well on his cat tests, so confident cats would be considered.
*No children or visiting children due to his nervous nature at times*.
Earl would like someone around most of the time until he has settled into his new home.
