Meet Dodge

Resident animal at Pennine Pen Animal Rescue in Manchester, UK

Age: Fourteen years old

Prior to arriving at Pennine Pen, our resident oldie Dodge, had spent the first twelve years of his life living in a barn kennel, with his best Pal Snoop. Due to the lack of socialisation with the outside world, whilst living in the kennel, Dodge and Snoop were understandably very scared of new people, environments and situations. They slowly settled into Rescue life and we gained their trust in the way they felt most comfortable and they enjoyed their set routine of life with us. As time went by, it became clear that Dodge and Snoop would not cope living in a home environment, so we took the decision to provide them with their forever home and become their family.  They had lived happily at Pennine Pen for over two years, but unfortunately in July 2018, the heart breaking decision was made to say our final goodbye to Snoop, as his health had rapidly deteriorated. Dodge lost his soul mate of fourteen years and at first, was very distressed.  He is slowly settling without Snoop and is even making some new friends with other Pennine Pen dogs. Dodge will be loved and looked after until the time comes when he will be reunited with his soul mate Snoop. You can help to cover the cost of caring for Dodge by either setting up a regular standing order, or making a one of donation, via BT My Donate.
