Meet Tess

Adoptable dog at Pennine Pen Animal Rescue in Manchester, UK

Status: reserved

Breed: Boxer cross breed

Age: Three years old

Tess arrived at the Rescue, along with another dog, as her owner had sadly passed away.  Tess has sadly not been out of the house much, or at all in her life and she is a timid little thing.  At the moment, she spends a lot of time on her belly, crawling around, if she is unsure of a situation.

Despite being so scared, Tess has never shown any signs of aggression, but might have a little ‘woof’, if somethings unnerves her.  Tess has lived with another dog and would probably do well with a doggy companion of a similar age, who she can play with and gain confidence from.  Tess is a bouncy girl, with a lot of built up energy, so she would need a secure garden, where she can have a good run around and play.  At the moment, with her being so fearful, she would not be able to be let off her lead on walks.

Tess is looking for a quieter home with a family, that can take the time to slowly get her used to everyday life, being in a normal home.  Things might be challenging at times, but Tess is well worth the chance and has such a lovely little character, that everyone has fallen in love with. We will not rehome Tess with children under ten years old, due to her nerves and bouncy nature.
