Age: Two years old
Lexi arrived at the Rescue, after being abandoned by her owners at a local vets, as she was waiting to undergo crucial surgery.
On arrival, Lexi was quite a poorly girl. Following investigations, the vets soon diagnosed Lexi with Pyometra, which is a secondary infection that can occur after a season. Pyometra can prove fatal if left untreated and had Lexi been spayed, this life-threatening condition would have been prevented. Luckily for Lexi, she received the surgery she needed to save her life and is recovering very well with us.
Lexi is proving to be a very sweet natured and well-behaved girl, who will make someone a great companion. She has met and walked with a few of the other dogs at the Rescue and received them well so far, but we are still assessing her, to see if she can share her home with another doggy friend. Lexi is yet to be cat tested.
