Jim is a crossbreed, maybe a Bedlington cross, and is looking for a home to call his own. Jim is around Collie size weighing in at 20kg. Before arriving at the Rescue, Jim was an unclaimed stray, and yet another dog who ended up in the pound system.
Jim has been great with all the staff here at the Rescue and loves a good fuss. He adores his adventures and playtime and is an active boy, so he will need an active home and a handler who can hold him on the lead as he can pull at times.
He has met multiple dogs on his walks and likes to say hello, but he can bark at other dogs out of frustration, if he cannot say hello, so this is something that his new family will need to work on. We think that once Jim is castrated, this will help, as he can get over aroused with most dogs he meets and just wants to mount and pester them constantly. This, again, leads to him getting frustrated so once he is less hormonal it will help a lot.
Dog meets can be done with successful introductions but the dog would need to be tolerant of a bouncy dog and of a dog who will pester until he knows them.
Older children only due to having no previous history on Jim.
Jim will need a home with a secure garden of his own (not communal)
Jim travels well in the car (crated).
Once settled, he will be okay to be left for sensible periods of time.
NO CATS OR SMALL ANIMALS
