George is a large Bull breed (he has been seen by a DLO and deemed not type) who has arrived into our care through no fault of his own.
George can be nervous meeting new people (especially men) so will need a patient family who will let him come around in his own time.
We will consider George to be adopted as a solo dog, but we have found him to gain more confidence while he has been with us having another dog around. So, introductions can be done with a confident, playful, friendly dog.
Out on walks, George prefers quiet areas and in his previous home, got worried by busy roads and traffic. We have been getting George used to wearing a headcollar and gradually getting him used to areas with more traffic. This will need to carry on in his new home. He is young, so will need plenty of exercise and a handler who is confident and able to handle him.
Once George is comfortable with his family, he is a typical young Bull breed who needs boundaries and guidance so he can become a well rounded and well behaved boy.
Once settled in the home George can be left for sensible periods of time.
George is looking for a home with a secure garden of his own (not communal).
Due to his nerves and size, we are looking for an adult only home for George.
Any existing dogs in the home would need to already be neutered.
We are based in Oldham and rehome upto an hour away from us.
