Piper arrived at the Rescue under the saddest of reasons. Only a baby herself, Piper was dumped in a plastic box, along with her two few week old kittens, outside a local dogs home. When Piper and her kittens arrived at Pennine Pen, they were absolutely over run with fleas and they were literally crawling all over their bodies. We instantly knew that the kittens were very poorly, as their nose and gums were white, their little bodies cold and they were barely responsive. We checked Piper for milk and there was none, so we do not even know the last time the kittens had milk. Along with malnutrition and cold, the kittens were severely anaemic, due to the fleas and it was all too much for their little bodies to take. Their bodies had already shut down and the heart-breaking decision was made that we had to let them go.
Piper has now recovered from her ordeal and is a happy, healthy and extremely friendly little girl, who is more than deserving of a forever loving home.
Piper would make an amazing family pet, or companion to someone and could live with other cats and cat friendly dogs.
