Thinking of adopting?
Dog adoption process

All our dogs have been, flead, wormed, microchipped, neutered and have had at least their 1st vaccination.

Our dogs are kept in a home like environment and to ensure they are kept as stress free as possible we do not show members of the public into our kennels. If we have a dog that is suitable we will bring them out to meet you.

If there is a dog suitable for your family then we will arrange with you to take the dog for at least two walks so you can see how the dog behaves. This will also help you to form a bond and will make it easier for the dog to leave the sanctuary if he/she knows you.

If all goes well then we will carry out a home check prior to you adopting the animal, to ensure we match the right dog to your needs and to check that you have a secure garden. (Please note it can take up to 14 days for a home check to be carried out)

If the home visit is successful then you will need a couple of essential items on the day you come to collect your new friend-

There is a set adoption donation fee

Own collar/lead

I.D Tag for the dog’s collar with your name, your address and telephone number on it. We advise you not to put the dogs name on the I.D tag.

Please note if you are in rented accommodation we will need proof of tenancy
to ensure you are allowed to keep an animal
Cat adoption process

All our cats have been fully vaccinated, flead, wormed, microchipped and neutered.

In our cattery we have many different cats with different temperaments and needs, if you see a cat you like you will be encouraged to spend some time with them. If you think you’ve found the ‘purrfect’ match then we then ask you to fill out a pre adoption form and we will arrange a home check to ensure the animal is suited to you.

Please note we do not rehome cats on or near busy or main roads.

If the home visit is successful then you will need a couple of essential items on the day you come to collect your new friend-

A suitable cat carrier, not cardboard

A safety ‘snap’ collar with an I.D tag with your name, your address, telephone number and postcode on it.

All cats will not be allowed to leave the rescue without all of these necessary items
